ONE

Tyson had a great idea to make the letters of the word "one" into signs and let Jaxson hold them while we took pictures.  Jaxson didn't really get it and tried to hand us the signs, then he got mad.  Despite all this, we ended up with some cute pictures and some funny pictures.

This is the end result of what we were trying to accomplish :)

"O"

We stopped at an indoor play area and my mom thought it might be cute to get a few pictures going down the slide :)

"N"

One of the cutest faces we got from him, but he wouldn't hold the "N"

"E"

And this is what Jaxson thought of the whole thing....

So happy to be done and in his momma's arms :)

Temple Pictures

On our way home from Denver we stopped at the Temple.  We might start a tradition of taking a picture of our kids in front of the temple at every birthday, so we started with Jaxson now :).  It was a beautiful fall day at a beautiful place.

Jaxson LOVED the fountain.  He really wanted to go for a swim :).

There was a cute little girl a little younger than Jaxson on the grass.  He was very distracted and wanted to go play :).

One of my favorite shots we got.  I think we will frame it and put it in his room :).

Denver Birthday Party

We live really close to family here in Colorado.  There are a few other birthdays in October, so we all got together in Denver to celebrate.  The party included Brandon, Stirling and Ann, the Bush's, Grandma Zee, and us.  Jaxson ate real birthday cake and loved it!

Grandma kisses!

It was definitely past nap time :)

Jaxson's First Birthday Party

For Jaxson's first birthday, my mom and Tyson's mom came from Utah for 4 days to celebrate!  We had so much fun with them, and Jaxson was so cute with his grandma's :).  I'm so grateful that our mom's could road trip together and share their grandbaby for a great weekend.
We took A LOT of pictures during their visit, so their will be a lot of blog posts :).  This one is about the birthday party we threw for the little one year old.

When I made Jaxson's birthday cake I was trying to be super heathy (banana's, applesauce, wheat flour, vanilla, and maybe one other ingredient).  It wasn't his favorite (and who can blame him) but he did enjoy playing with it :).

Grandpa Cook was on Face Time, and Jaxson wanted to share his cake :)

Jaxson got a lot of fun gifts for his birthday-a toy dog, a batman shirt, blocks, a flannel wall, a crib toy, alaska pajamas and book, bathketball (a tub toy), and some other cute shirts and books.  He liked to rip the paper off slowly and hand us each piece :)
