Jaxson's 4th Birthday

Jaxson turned 4!  He had such a fun birthday starting with decorations and opening some of his presents.  We had a birthday party at the park with friends complete with Pokémon cupcakes.  For his birthday dinner he chose chocolate chip waffles with whip cream on top and chocolate milk to drink.  He got lots of fun Pokémon toys, Poke balls crocheted by Grandma Cook, a Pokémon handbook like dad had when he was little, a tool belt,  new Dino Trux, and a Nerf gun.  He was one happy birthday boy :).

We had to relight the candle and let Kiah have a turn blowing it out :)

Jaxson is such a sweetheart and a joy to have in our family.  He is very kind and considerate and a very good helper.  He loves Pokémon and could tell you almost anything you want to know about the first generation.  He is loving preschool and has such a great memory and love for learning.  I can't believe my baby is 4.  We love seeing what a wonderful young man he is becoming.
Love you Jaxson Cory Cook!

Rocky Vista Fall Festival

The medical school nearby threw a free fall festival full of pumpkin painting, a bounce house, hay rides, games, and cookie decorating.

They had a military training set up with army crawl, rope climb, and rock climbing.  Both kids went for it and did pretty well.

We even got to tour the inside of a fire truck

Flat Acres Farm Fall Festival

The kids and I went to a really fun fall festival with my friend Kim and her girls.  It was great weather and they had lots of fun activities.

Jaxson and Wendy loved leading the way through the hay bale maze

Playing cornhole

It took us longer to get around this way, but we were able to keep all of the kids together :)

The kids loved the inflatable slides and trampoline

Petting a fluffy rabbit in the petting zoo

I have seen pictures of kids in corn kernel pits and have always wanted to take my kids to one, but have never been able to find one.  I think this was the favorite attraction of the whole festival!  The kids loved playing in the corn :).

The last thing we did was pick out mini pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.  We had such a great time, but by the end the kids were hot and tired and ready to go home :).
