Peas, Squash, and Carrots Oh My :)

We've been trying a few different vegetables over the past week or so-peas, squash, and carrots.  He doesn't show much reaction to any of them (except squash) so we think he likes them.  Jaxson is a great eater!

When we gave Jaxson squash, at first he acted just like he did with any other food, then he started screaming.  He wouldn't swallow the squash so we had to wipe it out with a tissue....guess he doesn't like it...

We think Jaxson might have been having a bad day when he ate squash, because the next day he ate them just fine :)

The Denver Zoo

We took Jaxson to the Denver Zoo.  We saw a lot of fun animals and had a great time.

"Sharing" our kettle corn :)

Easter Eggs

Tyson and I dyed Easter eggs and had a blast!  When Jaxson woke up, he had some fun with the eggs too :)

We made this egg for Jaxson and let him play with it a bit

We should have seen this coming, but luckily I  caught it on camera

Five Months

Our baby is 5 months old!  This past month has gone by so fast.  Here are some of the reasons we love our baby this month...

  • He weighs around 19 lbs and is about 27 in long
  • He loves to squeak and squeal, no matter what emotion he is feeling
  • He likes to pull off his socks and chew on them
  • He has been eating from a spoon everyday for a week now and takes it like a champ
  • He loves his Jumperoo and anything that makes him feel mobile

As we were trying to take his picture, he pulled his monkey on top of his face :)

Eating From a Spoon

While we were in Utah, we gave Jaxson food from a spoon for the first time.  We decided to start with baby rice cereal, and he took it like a champ!  We think this kid is going to be a great eater, but super messy because he always wants to be involved :).

Getting ready to eat!

Waiting patiently for Daddy to give him the first bite

We tried giving Jaxson his own spoon so he could feel more involved

Little toesies are a good in between snack :)

We love our messy, chunky eater!
