First Snow of the Season

We had our first real snowfall last night and the kids couldn't wait to play in it when they looked out the window this morning.  Jaxson had fun "chopping" the snow with his shovel, and Kiah had fun eating the snow :).  When Kiah would fall down in the snow she couldn't move because of all of her snow clothes, but she would just wait patiently for me to come lift her up.

 I have a feeling there will be many more adventures in the snow this winter with these cuties :)

Garden of the Gods

We had a fun weekend in Colorado Springs.  Friday Ann and Sterling watched the kids while Tyson and I went on a date.  Then Saturday we went to Garden of the Gods where we visited the nature center, had a picnic lunch, and went on a hike (mainly played in the dirt :)).

This was the "poop game".  Pretty gross, but Jaxson loved guessing which animal the poop belonged to...

I grabbed one of Tysons shirts out of the dryer after the baby I watch spit up on me.  When Jaxson noticed he said "Hey! Why are you pretending to be dad!?"

Jaxson has been transitioning out of naps, but sometimes he gets so sleepy he falls asleep eating a snack :)

I can't remember why the kids were so upset, but it was one of those moments you just have to laugh and take a picture :)
